Comments      ORD#: SalyersvilleOrd110_9 provided no metes and bounds to enter into DeedRunner. The ordinance describes the annexed area by distances from a highway, by property lines of named owners, and a creek. Location within the GIS required determining the centerline of a road and then buffering along those roads. Further, parcel boundaries were acquired from the PVA and then digitized. The location of the creek was determined using the DOQQs. This work represents the lines as accurately as possible without the benefit of a deed description or metes and bounds. ORDINANCE DOES NOT PROVIDE COMPLETE METES AND BOUNDS. RIDGES, STREAMS, PROPERTY PARCELS, HIGHWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY MARKERS, ETC DEFINE THE GEOGRAPHY. SINCE METES AND BOUNDS FROM ORDINANCE COULD BE USED THE PRIMARY DETERMINAGE FOR LOCATION WAS SUBMITTED MAPS AND PVA PARCEL MAPS.
